The theme of love and forgiveness has been prevalent for me the past month. I have been learning how to interpret the word ”forgiveness” and the definition I view it from is; to let go of judgment, and to hold more space for love and feelings of contentment. Forgiveness doesn’t suggest we should excuse someone’s actions or our own. Rather, it creates space in the mind. Holding grudges is still energy being spent on that person or situation. When I practice forgiveness, I am simultaneously trying to learn from the experience, and not keep feelings of disdain in my conscious and subconscious. Overall, the disdain we experience related to something else poisons us. To let go of these judgments and learn from them instead of holding them close to us can create a wellbeing that is more freeing.
