I know. You do not need to call me out. I missed last week’s posts. To be perfectly honest, I had all of the content I needed but did not get around to writing any blog posts. Hopefully today’s post can make up for the lack of them from last week.

Today is a Disney post! As I am writing this, I remembered that this actually is not my first Disney post. About a year ago when I first started this blog, I made a Disney at Home post in honor of quarantine. Remembering it makes me very happy and nostalgic remembering how excited I was to start this blog a year ago, and I am so happy I did.

I got a little sidetracked but yes, today is a post about my most recent trip to Disneyland. I went with some of my family and we had an amazing time. We went for two days and it was truly an incredible two days. I tried to fill this post up with a combination of what the park was like at limited capacity, tips and tricks, and my own personal experience. I hope that this post helps you if you are planning a trip to Disneyland soon, but if not, you are still welcome to vibe here.

Disneyland at Limited Capacity

Disneyland is following all of the CDC guidlines in order to make sure both of its parks are as safe as possible. You are only allowed to eat and drink(even water) in designated dining areas. There are markers in lines to keep people six feet apart. I was surprised at how small of an amount of people I saw without their masks on, but even in the chaotic disney crowds(which are not as crowded as usual) staff members did a great job monitoring and making sure everyone was staying safe and keeping others safe as well.

Tips and Tricks in the Park

I love sharing tips and talking about my experiences at Disneyland and California Adventure. Everytime I go, I seem to learn something new. First, let us talk about Rise of the Resistance in Star Wars Land. This is the new ride that was just released and I think is definitely worth a visit. Right now, Disney is only letting people who get “boarding passes” wait in line for the ride. These do not cost any extra money; you just need to log onto the app at 7:00 a.m. and try to get some before they run out. If you can, try to get boarding passes that are earlier in the day as I found that the line was less chaotic in the morning. Proceed with caution as part of the line is indoors without much ventilation, although the staff did a good job limiting the amount of people who were inside.

Another tip I learned on this trip was related to the haunted mansion ride. If you do not mind missing the elevator ride at the start of the ride, there is a “hidden” entrance off to the left of where the fastpasses are(or used to be). It is not really hidden but it can help you skip part of the line and get straight onto the “doombuggies.”

Our Trip to Disneyland

I thought that it would be fun to end this post with some highlights from our trip. We had parkhopper tickets the first day but overall spent more time in Disneyland so I’ll probably talk a little more about that(I only took photos there too lol).

On the first day, we got breakfast at the bengal barbecue(aka my favorite place in California) because my family and I are weird and do not really like breakfast foods. After some delicious chicken and veggie kabobs, we went on rides like thunder mountain, space mountain, and peter pan. For lunch we went to California Adventure’s Carthay Circle and got some very overpriced tacos and fish. We went on a few more rides and eventually made it back over to Disneyland where we finished off our day with Rise of the Resistance.

The second day was off to a slow start since I had gotten three blisters that were bleeding and we had to stop and get some bandaids(yes I know I’m high maintenance). We got breakfast at Starbucks in Downtown Disney and then went over to Fantasy Land to go on Alice in Wonderland. We went on some more rides and then got fried chicken for lunch at the Plaza Inn which was extremely delicious. We went on more rides including Indiana Jones(one of my favorite rides and gives me Harry Potter energy but I’m not sure why) and we finished the day with Ice cream from Main Street.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I’m sorry that I skipped a week of posts but hopefully I will have something up on Sunday for you to check out!
