Ok- so everything may be closing again due to covid but the one thing we still have is music.

I love music so much mainly because it can change the way you’re feeling almost immediately and it can remind you of powerful memories. 

So even though we can’t be going out much right now, we can still feel that we are living through an amazing and exciting summer by listening to music. 

Here are five of my current favorite songs to listen to that I’ve just discovered!

Shy~ Hether

This indie song is the first song on my playlist and I couldn’t be happier with it. 

The acoustics in this song are very chill and it has a steady beat throughout the whole song which is something I really like. 

The vocals are also really cool and unique. 

I also love the chord progression and how it sounds with the melody, especially at the end of the chorus. 

Are We a Thing~ Leidi

This is my new favorite song to drive to. It always puts me in a great mood.

It’s very upbeat while still maintaining a chill vibe that’s perfect to drive to in my opinion. 

I can’t help but want to dance to it every time I hear this happy song haha.

I can just picture myself driving to Torrance (which is in LA) to stay at my aunt’s house for the weekend.

That may be next summer though. 🙂

I mean- even if I’m not going on any road trips any time soon it’s still fun to have songs that I would listen to haha. 

Emotional~ okaywill

There’s something about how this song was produced and how it blends the beat with the vocals that makes me obsessed with it. It’s another pretty chill song but is somewhat paced a bit faster and has a happy feel to it. 

I’ve been working at an office recently and I’m allowed to listen to music while doing my job (YAY) and this has been one of my favorite songs to listen to.

I Want it All~ COIN

COIN is one of my favorite bands. 

They mainly do more indie and alternative rock which is one of my favorite genres. 

I listen to a lot of songs from them but I’ve been listening to this one in particular quite a bit recently. 

The chorus is probably one of my favorite parts about this song because it goes from being more chill with upbeat piano during the verses to full rock with guitar in the chorus. 

It just makes me feel so happy and I would love listening to this song at the beach or pool… or anywhere haha. 

A Kiss~ THE DRIVER ERA

This song is really unique and it’s so upbeat and good to listen to. 

My mom likes it a lot too so we at least have that song to listen to and not argue about ahaha.

It’s another song I like driving to but I’ve definitely danced around in my room like an idiot mouthing the words to this song.

I have a lot more songs I’ve been enjoying lately but I just wanted to share these that I’ve found over the past couple days and have really loved.
